Myanmar Medical Journal (MMJ) is the official scientific publication of the Myanmar Medical Association. The Myanmar Medical Association (MMA) is a national association whose membership is made up of doctors from all fields of medical science in the country. MMA is an independent professional association and its president and executive committee members are directly elected by its members for a 2 year term. It has 15 State and Regional branches along with a number of district and township branches operating under these establishments. It has 44 speciality societies representing various medical specialities.
MMJ is an open access journal published by the Myanmar Medical Association on a quarterly basis (January-March issue, April-June issue, July-September issue, and October-December issue). It is a health journal covering all fields of health science, also serving as a source for references.
All expenses associated with the publication of this journal is borne by the Myanmar Medical Association. MMJ does not charge fees for processing and publication of articles in the Journal and offers no remuneration to authors.
